Baby booties at last

Well, here they are, our first pair of baby slippers !
All handmade, starting with the felt. The felt was made using only alpaca fibers.
These are sure to keep those "adorable little baby feet" warm ;)
And well yes as mentioned the inner lining is a "recycled" baby blanky, made of soft brushed cotton.

Oh so CUTE :)

These are our first try... Now we need to add a second felted sole, and an inside.
Ummm...
Either thought of using organic cotton materials, or why not use something that we already have !!! So yes, the beginnings of our "upcycling" ...

Started off alone...

I started off learning to felt ...alone.

Through online videos and a Saturday afternoon course.

Suddenly , as I finished my 1st project , and it actually made something useful and pretty, my husband decided to try it out too. Then the competition began!

Now it has become a cooperation of ideas and workload. What a great team !
